Helsinki Fashion Week DIGITAL VILLAGE 2.0

Immersing into the world of 3 D video and VR Fashion shows, is the way forward for the world of Fashion. Although its not same as its physical counterpart where the customers can see the look and feel of the garment and designs in real life, going digital is a sustainable way of presenting the garment designs in front of the customers. There will be savings from eliminating the costs related to the arrangement of the actual shows, and the reduced carbon print from everyone travelling to the shows. 3D shoes can be more creative in terms of the environments, does not have to be a standard ramp unlike a conventional fashion show. From space, to underwater, to a different planet, the limit is only the imagination of the designer.

Helsinki Fashion Week - Digital Week

Fascinated by the creativity and sustainability advantage with going digital, Helsinki Fashion Show has been focusing on their digital fashion shows called Digital Village series, where the fashion designers collaborate with Graphic designers to create 3 D fashion shows with digital garments on real life like avatars. The customers can attend these shows in virtual reality and buy the digital versions as well as the physical versions of the garments.
